Professor Fournier’s Book Celebrated by the Cégep Garneau

Pascale Fournier’s new book, Mariages musulmans, tribunaux d’Occident : les transplantations juridiques et le regard du droit, was recently covered on the website of the Cégep Garneau, of which Prof. Fournier is an alumna. The book, which analyzes the reception of Muslim family law in Western courts and its impact on the welfare of women, was launched on November 19 at the University of Ottawa and on November 20 at the Grande Bibliothèque in Montreal. It was published in October 2013 by Sciences Po Press in Paris.

Professor Fournier gave a short interview on her book and her work as spokesperson of the Cégep Garneau Foundation’s 2009-2013 major fundraising campaign.
